Kevin Urbanek Public Relations and Outreach Specialist
Mr. Urbanek is a life-long enthusiast of snakes. His passion extends to his children where his son’s website, Colorado Herping, receives high visitor traffic reviewing accounts and photos of Colorado species, as well as frequently addresses a myriad of questions from people seeking ID help and education with specific species. Further, Mr. Urbanek’s photography is featured in Mesa County (Colorado) Library’s Wild Colorado database and mobile application. He is driven to educate and conserve amphibians and reptiles. He researched general herpetofauna and Prairie rattlesnake telemetry surveys, as part of Adaptation Environmental Services, for the City and County of Boulder. He is a board member for the Zoological Discovery Center and an active member of Colorado Partners in Amphibian and Reptile Conservation.
