Nicole Weprin Field Work Coordinator
Nicole was born and raised in the state of Colorado and graduated from Colorado State University with a B.S. in Wildlife Biology. Over the past 7 years she pursued a career focused on avian ecology and conservation by working as a field biologist for federal agencies, nonprofits, universities, and private entities. This work has taken her throughout the United States as well as several different countries. A proven leader, Nicole excels in data collection, report writing, GIS analysis and mapping. She has wide-ranging experience in assessing environmental and habitat conditions, small and large mammal surveying, trapping and handling, large bird trapping and handling, as well as work with several listed endangered species. Nicole has participated in several restoration projects and is familiar with planning and implementing a variety of restoration strategies. Additionally she has worked closely with federal and state agency scientists, volunteers, community shareholders, and other members of the public to accomplish positive outcomes for wildlife. Nicole is currently working on her Master’s degree at Fort Hays State University |
